Located on a secluded hillside, Skala Villa allows you utmost privacy and relaxation away from prying eyes.

The villa is built to extremely high standards providing quality, strength and stability, and is fully insulated providing a cool respite from the hot summer sun. Furnished luxuriously, the interiors offer a unique blend of Greek tradition and modern design.

The villa surroundings include fruit trees and olive trees and a traditional "aloni" or threshing circle going back hundreds of years, which is now marked by a mulberry tree at the centre. The perimeter of the surroundings is marked by artisan Kefalonian stone walls, ensuring your security and quietness.

The villa has been built with an eco-friendly ethos. Where practical and possible we have made use of nature's gift. With 300 days of sunshine per year, this means our solar panels generate electricity and hot water with minimal reliance on the grid. In addition, due to high quality materials used such as triple glazing and wool insulation, the villa is kept cool from the strong summer glare with just ceiling fans in place. For those who wish to use air conditioning, a highly efficient individually operating central unit is available at no extra cost.

FEATURES & FACILITIES

With its exposed wooden beams, the kitchen is fully equipped with a granite grey worktop, oven and hob, toaster, kettle, French press cafetiere, a spacious fridge freezer and dining area with a high speed ceiling fan. Air conditioning facility. The plush open plan lounge area allows you to enjoy the amazing views in comfort. The lounge has its own bluetooth wireless music system, LED television, blue ray DVD player, built in fireplace and a library of books about Greece. Dimmable lights let you set the lighting as you wish.

Bedroom 1 - double bed, ensuite bathroom with bath and spacious marble sink worktop, lots of shelf space and ladies dressing table. His and hers wardrobe. Doors to veranda and panoramic sea views. High speed ceiling fan. Air conditioning facility.

Room 2 - more commonly known as the Music Room, it features a baby grand piano!

Outdoors - the villa boasts a spacious al fresco dining area with BBQ facilities and a separate private grassy area for sun loungers featuring a state of the art private hot tub / Jacuzzi area.

All doors and windows have insect screens for your comfort.

Free WiFi throughout the property.

USEFUL INFORMATION

• For each visit, we provide a complimentary welcome basket containing Kefalonian local produce and a bottle of wine
• We provide a complimentary transfer for you to and from the airport. Should you wish to hire your own car, we can provide details of reliable car rental companies
• The closest beach lies along the famous Skala coastline or the Kaminia beach which has shallow waters and soft sand
• The nearest restaurant is the Kelari Taverna which is a ten minute leisurely stroll from the villa
• You will be able to find basic necessities in the supermarkets in the village of Skala. There is also a pharmacy and doctor and many restaurants along the cobbled main street. Other services available in Skala are boat and coach trips, car hire companies, taxi services, ATMs, money changers and souvenir shops

• Standard Rate includes all taxes and legal surcharges

PAYMENT POLICY

• In order to secure your reservation a deposit of 20% will be required at the time of booking
• The remaining balance is payable upon check-in
• For Non Refundable Rates the full amount is payable in advance

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Up to 60 days before arrival the deposit (20%) is refunded minus bank charges. Deposit is not refundable for cancellation within 60 days of arrival date
• For Non Refundable Rates the full amount is payable in advance and it is not refunded in case of No Show, however we make our best to reschedule bookings to alternative dates in case of emergency
